Join new resident, Bunny and I on the 22nd at 3pm for a dazzling display of what some of the best RVA therapy dogs can offer. Our hope for this event is two fold: the first is to inform you of the impact therapy dogs may have on your counseling sessions; the second is to help you de-stress after a long week.
Research has shown that therapy dogs have many benefits besides being cute, of course. Sometimes even the most courageous of individuals dealing with life stressors need help from a friend.
To learn more about the benefit of therapy dogs in counseling, check out Bunny’s blog Here. And to RSVP for the event, contact us today.
We are excited to introduce the three canine companions who will be us at the event!
This is Watkins. He is a 4 year old Shih Tzu. He has been a therapy dog for 3 years. Watkins has multiple obedience titles in Rally and knows many tricks. He also completes in agility and has several titles in this dog sport. Watkins loves everybody.
This is Annie. She will be 10 years old in August. Annie is a Standard Poodle. She has been a therapy dog for 6 years. Annie has many agility titles, is a Trick Dog Champion and is a demo dog for many presentations her owner gives on pet therapy.
This is Choo. He is an Australian Shepherd. He is 3 years old. He’s been a therapy dog for 2 years. He knows many tricks, competes in many dog sports including agility, Rally obedience and barn hunts. He likes to go paddle boarding with his owner/handler and enjoys a game of fetch or tug-of-war.
Watkins, Annie, Choo and everyone here at Life Cycles Counseling are looking forward to seeing you at this event! Please RSVP in advance at 804-536-9143.
