Adina is here for you!

Hi, I’m Adina Silvestri. Welcome! If you are ready for real change and to start living the life you were meant to live free from behaviors that keep you stuck in a cycle of self-doubt, fear, and loneliness, then you’ve come to the right place!
I believe you have to walk through shame to get to forgiveness and that’s tough work. Shame is that wordless emotion that no one wants to address but for me acknowledging, understanding and walking through shame is the number one way to get through the hurt and pain and on the road to healing. No more numbing with substances or food, but really embracing the uncomfortable. My motto every day is to do one thing that puts me outside of my comfort zone.
I don’t have all the answers but coming from the Rust Belt city of Buffalo, NY, I learned how to be direct but kind, resourceful, and believe without a doubt that powerful change comes from developing a strong sense of community and being at peace with impermanence. I do believe all good days start with an amazing cup of espresso. I have a partial obsession with Dan Brown books and I love good metaphors and quotes. One of my favorites: “You don’t have a right to the cards you believe you should have been dealt. You have an obligation to play the HELL out of the cards you’re holding.” I have amazingly supportive family, and friends that go back as far as the 7th grade. I am currently renovating an 1800’s Victorian home.
If you’re experiencing difficulty with shame and/or guilt, then I invite you to contact me here and let’s chat.

Dr. Silvestri thinks outside of the box to help her clients recover and heal! She is one of the few therapists I know who will treat addiction without requiring 12-step. She offers unique approaches and gets amazing results in weeks when it takes others months or years. I highly recommend her as an accomplished and respected professional!”

I recommend Adina Silvestri wholeheartedly. She’s kind, compassionate and eager to help those of us who want and need help. I’ve been seeing her for a year and my only regret is that I did not find her sooner. Let her know what you need and expect and she’ll do her part to help you. If you are serious about wanting help, look no further. Life Cycles Counseling is for you.
Adina is very good. She makes me slow down and really think about in-depth specifics on situations and ways to help me cope with them, so I don’t get into the same destructive habits. Thank you for taking me on and helping me in a very low, self-destructive point in my life. We still have work to do, but I can’t do this alone. I tried and failed repeatedly. So again, thank you!!
